Adapting Your Beauty Regimen for Travel
When it comes to adapting a skincare routine for travel, there are a few key things to keep in mind. We’ve previously given you a few tips and tricks when it comes to keeping your skincare game up top even while you travel, but it is also important to consider the recommended steps to keeping some balance in your routine.
If you’re getting ready to switch environments and enjoy some sun, read on below for some tips on how to streamline your skincare routine and make it more travel-friendly!
CHOOSE MULTI-PURPOSE PRODUCTS
When traveling, it’s best to select products that serve more than one purpose. Not only will it save you preparation time, but it will save you space! A great example of this is a moisturizer with SPF, which helps simplify your routine by eliminating the need for a separate sunscreen. Another good example is a tinted moisturizer, which combines your foundation and hydration in one easy step.

ESSENTIALIZE
Consider minimalizing your routine to just the essentials, meaning a cleanser, a day moisturizer, a night moisturizer, one treatment, and a sunscreen. If you’re only leaving for a few days, your skin will survive with just the basics (as long as they’re professional-grade!).
GO TRAVEL-SIZED
Many brands will make a travel-sized version of their top skincare products, which regulate with security regulations for carry-on liquids. It’s also possible to shop for products that are under 100ml–like many serums, for example–or transfer them into smaller containers to save space in your luggage.
That being said…
BE STRATEGIC
Be mindful of the transfer of your products. Some can easily be moved from container to container (such as cleansers); however, products that are in temperature or light-sealed packaging should not be tampered with. Consider bringing them as is, opting for travel-sized replacements, or skipping them altogether.

We also recommend keeping your skincare products in a separate toiletry bag that's easy to access during travel. It also helps to keep your products protected from the change of environment.
Until next time, make the most out of your travels!
