SALT & STONE

 

Salt & Stone has created products using ingredients that are in tandem with skin science and the power of nature. Their production and packaging are both sustainable, and the high majority of their ingredients are sourced from the sea. 

 

They are known best for their ability to combine the marine extracts (that exist in many hundreds of colors, shapes, and sizes) to target specific skin concerns. C & THE MOON

 

Carson Meyer––a birth doula, actress, and founder of C & The Moon––has always had a conscious outlook on what we put in and on our bodies.

 

“Working with newborns, I saw firsthand how the skin, our largest organ, takes in information from the environment around us and how the human body is itself a delicate ecosystem," explains Carson. “I also learned that there’s an average of 200 manmade chemicals found in the cord blood of newborns, many of which are used in the manufacture of personal products and absorbed through our skin.”

 

Inspired by such, she created a line of environmentally considerate products that are specifically made to nourish sensitive skins and can be used by all. 

 

In 2019, Carson became the co-chair of the NRDC Los Angeles Leadership Council, an organization that brings together scientists and lawmakers to defend environmental policy and safeguard our planet: including its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. C & The Moon regularly donates a portion of proceeds to the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)
