Aside from the Fitzpatrick scale, it’s also important to know what skin type you have. This will help you properly address any skin conditions you may have such as sensitive, dehydrated or acne-prone skin, rosacea, eczema, etc. This will help you choose the right products, as for example: those with acne-prone will benefit from non comedogenic and oil-free products; those with sensitive skin will benefit from mineral-based sunscreens; those with hyperpigmentation will benefit from non-irritating products and specific ingredients, etc.

Going to bed with makeup is a major no-no, and those with flawless skin know it. When you skip your nighttime wash, “you’re basically just keeping all the pollutants of the day on your skin,” explains Mary Larijani, M.D., a dermatologist at Montgomery Dermatology in Pennsylvania.
They also don’t forget to clean their pillowcases regularly, as these can also lead to clogged pores and breakouts.
