CONFIDENCE-Y

Confidence is a balancing act. It blooms on the inside before radiating to the outside. When you make sure to take care of both aspects, you will quickly learn that self-confidence is a habit — not just a trait a few lucky people have!

You already know we’re all about self-care here at Boutique Skin Envie, so let us walk you through our top 3 self-care tips for boosting your confidence:

HYDRATE, HYDRATE, AND…HYDRATE!

This may not sound like the most exciting part of a self-care routine, but staying hydrated is wildly beneficial for both your body and your mind. A positive, energized and healthy mind is a confident one! Since your brain is made up of mostly water, drinking enough of it will help you improve alertness, energy levels, and brain functioning. It is also proven to help balance your mood and emotions.

Let’s not forget the benefits of water for your skin: staying hydrated brightens its appearance, helps prevent premature ageing, reduces puffiness, and prevents breakouts.

How do you know if you’re drinking enough? The general rule of thumb is to divide your weight in half and to use that number as a reference for the total fluid ounces you should drink per day. For example, someone weighing 130 lbs should aim to drink at least 65 oz of water (more or less, depending on their needs).

TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR CALENDAR

Are you prioritizing activities that support your well-being? Make it a priority to carve out time in your weekly schedule for walks, workouts, home cooking, and anything else that makes you feel good.  By engaging in activities that you enjoy, your brain releases the feel-good cocktail of dopamine and serotonin which elevates your mood and boosts that feeling of self-confidence. Also, by choosing to make more room for mindful pauses and hobbies during your week, you’ll be more rested and better prepared to confidently tackle your tasks for the week.

SKINCARE, ALWAYS

Sure, new clothes and fancy jewelry always give us a boost — but you’ll only be as confident as you love the skin that you are in. Healthy skin is an instant game-changer! Since your skin is the first thing people notice about you and the first thing you notice when looking in the mirror, it has a powerful impact on your well-being.

By taking care of your glow, you’ll always feel ready to put your best face forward and stop hiding behind self-consciousness.
