BSE FALL FAVORITES

BSE FALL FAVORITES

With fall in full swing, most of us naturally switch up our wardrobe, our coffee flavour (Pumpkin Spice Latte, we’re looking at you), and our habits as we adapt to cooler temperatures. Autumn also means giving our self-care routines a little reboot, in order to help both our bodies and our minds properly adjust to the colder, drier climate.

To keep that summer glow, you’ll need to update your skin, hair, and body care routines -  and we’re here to guide you through it. We’ve put together a quick guide to our favourite fall products, each chosen with a specific intent: giving you the best treatments and beauty products your skin deserves.

Without further ado, here are BSE’s 2020 Fall Favorites:

FACE

The change in temperature can disturb your skin, so colour correctors will become your autumn BFF. Your foundation will thank you, due to the fact that a colour corrector does about 90% of its work: lavender tones cancel out yellowness and hyperpigmentation, green neutralizes out blemishes and rosacea, and yellow will brighten dulled skin. The Glo Corrective Camouflage Kit also includes a neutral concealer to cover up general skin imperfections such as the dark under-eye circles….

GLO SKIN BEAUTY

CORRECTIVE CAMOUFLAGE KIT $36

A tinted moisturizer is an excellent option for Fall 2020, as you may have noticed how wearing a mask every day.  wreaks havoc on your skin. Tinted moisturizers add just enough colour to even out your complexion, and their lighter coverage is a better option to wear under your mask in order to avoid unwanted breakouts and irritation. They also tend to be more hydrating and contain SPF, which we know is crucial throughout the colder months.

JANE IREDALE

DREAM TINT® $48

IMAGE SKINCARE

DAILY TINTED MOISTURIZER SPF 30 $74

SCM PRODUCTS INC.

REUSABLE FACE MASK $24.95

LIPS

Ah, yes - the season of dry, chapping lips. Not only does the colder air and indoor heating dry out your delicate lips, but the humidity build-up from wearing a mask all day results in further irritation. We suggest opting for a lip balm with ingredients that strengthen your lip’s protective barrier, such as:

BABOR

REPAIR LIP BALM $15.95

BIODERMA

ATODERM LIP STICK $6.90

HAIR

While hair suffers less sun damage throughout the colder months, chilly weather and central heating can still cause your hair to dry out, making your locks look brittle and dull. We suggest switching to a moisturizing shampoo and to include a weekly hair mask into your hair care routine.

HEMP CODE

HAIR MASK $36

EYES

The skin around your eyes is much more delicate than any other area of your face, and therefore susceptible to premature ageing––meaning you need to treat it accordingly. Luckily for you, there are many great solutions for tired eyes: including serums, creams, cooling gels, and rollers that help to reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, and fine expression lines.

GM COLLIN PARIS

CITY D-TOX EYE CONTOUR GEL $65

COLORESCIENCE

TOTAL EYE™ 3-IN-1 RENEWAL CARE $90

MOUNT LAI

THE ROSE QUARTZ EYE MASSAGE TOOL $40

BODY

We put so much focus on facial skincare that we often forget to take the same care of our bodies. This is why bath and body treatments are one of our favourite parts of pumpkin-picking season; not only are they incredibly relaxing, but they are also perfect for buffing away dead skin cells and rejuvenating the skin.

Don’t forget to follow up with a hydrating lotion in order to build a protective skin barrier and retain your skin’s natural moisture!

COMFORT ZONE

BODY STRATEGIST SCRUB $60

ESTHEDERM

EXTRA-FIRMING HYDRATING LOTION $49 (200ml) / $69 (400 ml)

BEAUTY THROUGH BALANCE

ACAI VITAL MINERAL SALTS $37

That’s that! We hope we’ve inspired you to take some quality time for yourself this season––it’s the most productive thing you can do for your wellbeing.

And we know you deserve it!

Until next time,

Mathilde
