NO-MAKEUP MAKEUP IN 4 EASY STEPS
We are all aware of how contradicting it is to put on makeup only to make it look like we’re not wearing any, but we also love a dewy, natural glow. The right makeup products and the right application are all we need to give our skin a little support, brighten up our mood and make it look like we #wokeuplikethis.
Here are the 4 main steps to follow in order to achieve a seamless “no-makeup” makeup look in under 10 minutes:
STEP 1: SKINCARE FIRST
Your makeup look should begin with a healthy, glowing canvas. This means that, regardless of what your makeup routine is, a good skincare routine is the foundation of your look.
Make sure to cleanse every evening (to remove the accumulation of dirt and makeup) as well as every morning (to remove excess sebum that builds up overnight). Follow up with the appropriate treatment serums and toners for your skin type, and seal it all in with a daily moisturizer (ideally, one with SPF in the AM and a thicker cream for overnight).
And, of course: make sure you apply SPF every single day to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and prevent any pigmentation!
STEP 2: PRIME THE CANVAS
Because we like to simplify our lives, we highly recommend reaching for a multitasking coverage option that evens out skin tone as opposed to caking your face with a heavy foundation.
A trusty BB cream (aka a beauty balm) is a great pick for those who want a product that gives a nice, sheer coverage without feeling too heavy. BB creams can combine primer, moisturizers, SPFs, and a light foundation, all in one formula.

A CC cream, on the other hand, works on anything color correction related and is designed to cover any apparent redness, hyperpigmentation, or blemishes.

Tinted moisturizer is another light alternative to foundation. Tinted moisturizers don’t strip the skin nor make it feel tight, and many of them have additional skincare benefits such as anti-aging properties or antioxidant ingredients. You can also opt for a tinted sunscreen to save that extra step in the morning.

If you’d still like to have a bit more coverage: a lightweight, hydrating concealer can be used over either of these to cover blemishes or dark circles.
STEP 3: BLUSH & BROWS
While powder is preferred by most makeup artists, cream blush wins every time when it comes to creating a quick and natural summer look. Cream blushes can be applied with both blending tools or your (clean!) fingers, and you’ll find it builds great over a BB/CC base.
For the most natural look, apply the product on the top of your cheekbones or the places where your face naturally flushes after light exercise. You can also dab a bit of shimmer highlight on the highest point of the cheekbones as well.

When it comes to brows, brush your brows up and away from your face with a spoolie or a clear brow gel. This will make your brows look fuller without needing to fill them in with pencil, as dark brows can come off as too strong when paired with lighter makeup.

STEP 4: EYES
Awakened eyes are the final touch to a minimal look. Start by applying a cream eyeshadow that is the closest shade to your natural skin tone. Blend it across the lid, fading it out as you approach your brow bone. Again, prioritizing creams over powder is better if you don’t have time to waste. They are so easy to apply (and reapply!) and they hold great throughout the day.

Lastly, a swipe of mascara on the upper lashes will open up your eyes and brighten your gaze, completing your entire look. If desired, a line of eyeliner across the top lashes will add a bit more punch, while still keeping your look simple and chic.
